The Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) Elevator Safety Section is responsible for ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and operation of elevators and other conveyances within the state. This section conducts regular inspections, enforces safety standards, and issues permits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. By doing so, ADOSH aims to prevent accidents and injuries related to elevators, escalators, and other lifting devices, thereby safeguarding the well-being of both workers and the general public.

In addition to regulatory oversight, the ADOSH Elevator Safety Section provides education and training programs for elevator mechanics, building owners, and maintenance personnel. These initiatives are designed to promote best practices in elevator safety and to keep industry professionals informed about the latest safety codes and technological advancements. Through a combination of stringent enforcement and proactive education, ADOSH plays a crucial role in maintaining a high standard of safety in Arizona's elevator systems.
