The Idaho Division of Occupational & Professional Licenses (IDOPL) Elevator Program is dedicated to ensuring the safety and reliability of elevator systems throughout the state. This program is responsible for the inspection, testing, and certification of elevators, escalators, and other conveyance systems. By rigorously enforcing state regulations and safety standards, the Elevator Program aims to prevent accidents and ensure that all vertical transportation devices are maintained and operated safely for the benefit of the public and the workforce.

In addition to its regulatory functions, the IDOPL Elevator Program offers educational resources and training for elevator contractors, mechanics, and inspectors. These educational efforts help industry professionals stay updated on the latest safety codes, technological advancements, and best practices in elevator maintenance and operation. By combining stringent oversight with comprehensive training and support, the Idaho Elevator Program works to maintain high safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the state's vertical transportation industry.
