The state of New Mexico does not have an elevator safety program. In fact, the city of Albuqurqe, NM, discontinued their program effective January 15, 2022. You can find that public notice here.
We recommend you reach out to The Chief Building Inspector at 505-924-3308 or by email at drowley@cabq.gov with any questions regarding your requirements (or lack thereof) regarding any elevators, escalators, or lifts, located in New Mexico.
